Registering to bid is FREE!
After registering to bid and confirming your account, log-in to your account and navigate to the lot's listing page. Enter a "Quick Bid" or enter the highest amount you're willing to bid on each lot and click "Submit Bid". You only pay if you win the auction.
Bidders may choose to place a "Quick Bid" or submit their highest bid on each lot. The "Quick Bid" option is a one-time bid. Bidders will need to manually enter additional bids. If a highest bid is submitted, the system automatically bids on the bidder's behalf up until the entered amount. You can submit a highest bid by entering an amount and clicking "Submit Bid". Typically, a highest bid is the maximum amount a bidder is willing to pay for an lot. Please note: bidding amount increases by the bid increment listed on each auction. Winning bidders will not need to pay their highest bid (Proxy Bid) amount unless bidding reaches that amount.
No! Bidders pay nothing unless they win the auction.
If a bid has been submitted erroneously, please email customerservice@lotsofauctions.com with the lot ID or by telephone at 800-830-9381 for assistance. Typically, once a bid has been submitted, you may not retract the bid per our Terms of Use. It's strongly recommended that you do not bid unless you are certain you want to buy the lot.
Bidders receive notification via email for each auction they win.
Bidders can add individual lots to the "Your Favorites" tab found on the bidding pages of our website. After registering to bid and confirming your account, log-in and click on the auction you'd like to view. This will provide a breakdown of all of the individual lots in the auction. Click the star on the right of the lot title to add the lot to "Your Favorites". Clicking "Your Favorites" at the top of the auction bidding page allows you to view and track selected lots as the auction progresses.
Lots of Auctions uses a popcorn bidding system. This means that the closing time of the auction automatically extends if someone places a bid in the last few minutes of the auction. This system ensures that every bidder has a chance to place their final bid(s).
Each auction is charged separately. For example, if you win one lot in our Electronics Auction and another lot in our Kitchen Auction, you will see two separate charges on your credit card or bank statement. This is true even if your pick-up occurs at the same warehouse location.
Please visit our Terms of Use for details about payment. Full payment from the winning bidder must be received prior to the removal or transportation of purchased lots.
Buyer’s Premium and Fee's are determined by the winning bid and/or are a flat rate. Buyers premiums and fee's help to cover administrative costs, and other fees associated with processing the item.
Below is a breakdown of the formulas used to calculate invoice totals:
Tax on lots is calculated as (premium plus amount) multiplied by the tax rate
Premium on lots is calculated on each row as premium rate multiplied by amount
Fee Total is calculated as the sum of .92 per lot
Tax on the fee is calculated as fee total multiplied by The tax rate
Total tax on the invoice is the sum of the tax on each row plus the tax on the fee total
Subtotal of the invoice is the sum of the amounts on each row
Invoice Total is sum of the lot amounts plus sum of tax plus sum of fees
Invoice Balance is The sum of any payments you've made equals Invoice Total
Please check all transactions for invoices with the same total amount. Depending on the financial institution, you may see pending charges. Please wait 72 hours to see if the charge is reversed by your bank before contacting Lots of Auctions.
